These are 14” double stepsCompacts? Maybe the doubles…
@enkriss
Could you post a picture of how the 14” compacts stack on the fix? Do the grommets in the compacts mate with the holes in the fix to attach?
Thanks for posting, looks like a smaller profile than the doubles, is the highest part in your photo the stand-off on the fix?
Just don’t know that I would like the single step which is why I went the way I did.
blows my mind to design it with those holes in the stand and not have them work for their own grommets.
Your not kidding…. all these companies blow my mind, everyone is so hung up on weight how about packability, neat, trim, why do we have to spend $1k on this stuff and still find ways to lash it all down with bungee cords, the .5 and the way sticks integrate still are hands down the best system for those with OCD like myself, now make a platform do that, how hard can it be, do people that make this stuff ever pack it up in the dark with cold hands in snow storms, because that’s how we use it. Screwing around with gizmos, little gadgets under those conditions to pack up at night makes saving a few ounces the least of my concerns, I want simple, tough, and stupid easy to use. Thanks for posting, looks like a smaller profile than the doubles, is the highest part in your photo the stand-off on the fix?

LWCG is now listing the weights of all of there sticks on line. The 14" single step is listed at 1lb 9oz.Yea if they tell you different they are full of poopy.

Since a Novix 15" single step stick is 1lb 6oz, not sure why I would spend $35 more for a LWCG.

I was comparing a 14" LWCG to a 15" Novix. Your #2 &3 don't apply.I don't have 14" compacts but here are some general advantages of LWCG minis
1. Pack flat without modification
2. Longer standoff distance
3. Longer steps
4. Integrate with stand
5. Molle hook (if you like that)

Post 150 says they don't integrate that well with stand. I like the pack flat, but I am also cheep. And Novix gives a bigger military discount making the price difference greater.
But the LWCG stick sure is purdy.
Sorry, by stand off I was thinking vertical. So far as I know, #2 and #3 apply.
I'll also add you can stand on top of the post on a LWCG mini stick, even more foot room. I've stood on the top step with both feet, and I'm wearing size 13-14 boots.
I don't care what post 150 says, they integrate better than Novix sticks.
I do like the companies offering Military Discounts, thats a good reason to support Novix/Trophyline. You can modify them to pack flat without much investment other than time. It will make them heavier, but not much. You can also modify them to accept j-hooks.
What platform or stand are you running?I was comparing a 14" LWCG to a 15" Novix. Your #2 &3 don't apply.
