Where the skys are so blue!
I does my heart good to know someone else uses brake cleaner on their firearms! BTW some factory camo jobs don't react we'll to it.
Neither does vinyl wrap!

Brake cleaner does a great job getting the goop and grime out of stuff though. I need to swap from CLP to sine kind of grease. Almost have thought about using the same grease for the gun I use for my mud motor. I am rough on a duck gun, and oil just doesn't cut it.

I break that 500 down almost every day. Need to get a pancake compressor so I can spray out the nooks and crannies

What are you guys using for dekes? Just looking for name brand/model not species. I'm looking at picking some up.

I have mostly flambeau storm fronts and GHG hot buys. I have some redhead brand I picked up at bass pro outlet. I honestly don't know of any of them are made anymore. I've never paid more than $40 or so for a dozen.

I make my own Texas rigs out of clear weed eater string and weights I pour into a mini muffin tin. I buy the line crimps at academy.

For real. I've never had a shotgun give me grief. The little 20 gage h&r goes swimming all the time and never b/tches.

I just sprayed everything with brake cleaner, scrubbed it, and oiled it. I've got some rio to shoot instead of winchester tomorrow. We'll see if it does or doesnt
I use a mossberg 835 and that thing is unstoppable. Gives me the same advantages as my 500 (now used for home defense) but opens up the ability to shoot 3.5's at gobblers. Just a little bit heavier but worth it to me

You guys just need to come on over to the dark side. I clean my shotgun once a season.

Misfire issue got fixed with shells that didn't get soaked. My fault for being a cheapskate.

Yesterday was a bust. Found 2 nice little ponds and hunted the more promising to no avail. Warm and overcast here lately. Probably will have birds next front.

Today I'm one for two. Missed a gimme, but took a pretty good shot on a hen who flared off the boat. I've got a few birds further upstream I'm about to go try and jump shoot

Not duck but I did get in on a quail shoot in Tennessee. That's my grandfather's Remington 11-48 28 gauge. It's 62 years old and looks and shoots like new.

Nice. That GSP looks nice!!! I miss mine when I hunt birds. I got a good 12 years of hunting out of her before she passed this summer at 16. I don't miss the energy though. Those dogs are nonstop. She wouldn't drink or eat when we were hunting. She wouldn't allow me to take a break either. She constantly was finding birds.

She's a fantastic dog. She belongs to the property owner.

I was able to get out on the big lake for a while today. 7 teal and a goldeneye between me and my buddy. The goldeneye was a new duck for me.

I want to hunt in the AM. Anyone want to go? I don’t like going by myself.
