Need a lighter platform

I struggle being comfortable in the saddle. I'll shift from leaning, standing to sitting. Each position brings its own unique discomfort. My feet feel it the most while leaning or standing obviously. Sitting is ok for a few minutes, but my knee doesn't like being pressed up against a tree for very long. With knee pads (trophyline). Boot wise, always wear Danner Pronghorns.
One of the reasons I bought the Mission was to give myself more room and options for positioning my feet. But, they kill me regardless, so I might as well get something smaller and lighter.
I can't post I'm the classifieds, but if anyone has a Seeker they'd part with, please let me know!

i would start with better shoes...then i would look at the angle you have your platform at....then i would look at a new platform....i get the weight thing though i hate big heavy platforms....i went with the arsenal RZR less than 3 lbs and plent of room

What brand saddle are you using? What size shoe do you wear?

You could say the same about iphones, and unless people want to pay aerospace prices for aerospace materials and forging, it ain't going anywhere anytime soon.
The masses clamored and ridiculed the idea of cost when guys were asking for a tree stand that was lighter and better engineered than a LW Assault, how has that worked out? Fellows don't hesitate to drop 1k on a set up. I personally don't buy every new thing that comes out, I'm still using the predator platform, the saddle, and the sticks I purchased when I started saddle hunting so when something does get released that checks the boxes I bite the bullet and drop the coin. And I can do without the new bow every 3-5 years if thats what the budget entails.

Correction, I just went to the LWCG website for poop and giggles and added 4 sticks and a 1.0 to the cart to replace my LW Assault and totals out to $1120 without tax or shipping, I don't think cost is an issue.

Lol. That's nothing. How's a $10,000 sticker look for machined titanium? Tempted? People are asking about innovation, that's your next step. Unless you are believer in carbon fiber which I am not for stand applications.

LWCG and the Beast fellow didn't need Titanium to improve on a tree stand design when many said it wasn't needed.

What are some boot recommendations with stiffer soles/shanks? Thanks.

I have arthritis, gout and old bone disease. I also have wide feet. Theses work for me. I have the insulated and uninsured.

Slacks and a polo with no underwear cause it’s all dirty, you?
I had clean undies but otherwise the same. You already turned 'em inside out for the second day and your still out?

Boot wise I would look for something with either a 3 or 4 rating on stiffness. The crispi's I wear are a 3 and are a good bit stiffer than say your avg hiker but not so stiff to be comfortable walking flat ground. You might be able to get away with less than a 3 by adding superfeet insoles which would add a little stiffness.

How do you think those would compare with these? https://www.crispius.com/thor-gtx

I'm using the Irish Setter terrain 800g insulated boot. for the price of just under $200 they have survived 100+ hunts and hundreds of miles of wear in the past year and still in the same condition as the day I bought them.

I picked up some insoles to try in my Danners (I love those damn boots.. can't give em up). The insoles have a rigid center similar to a steel shank boot, with padding on top (naturally). The balls of my feet get pretty sore, and these have pretty good padding and support for that area too so maybe they'll work out well.
Also ordered a mini Seeker, should be here Wed. Much smaller and lighter than the Mission. I'm going for small and light for those half-day mobile hunts. The all-dayers will be spent in the JX3 on pre-hung sets.

I wear Rocky Whitetail Stalkers when I’m not wearing rubber boots. My feet and knees feel a lot better the day after if I’m wearing the Rocky’s.

The mini Seeker arrived a few days ago. Haven't had it out yet, only set up in the yard, but man is it light! Just big enough to be comfortable on, the angled front is awesome, and it's so lightweight that I hardly notice it in my pack.
Running a TL Platow pack, with a tetherd predator pack up top for the platform, and my 3 helium sticks strapped to the bottom. Before, with the mission on there (no predator pack) it was really top heavy and dug into my back. Pretty uncomfortable. Now with the predator pack and mini Seeker, I barely notice any weight on the upper part of the pack at all. And it doesn't dig into my back at all either. Definitely a major improvement.
