New Gear for 2023, Go!

I've got a couple of those Plano trunks. I've traveled with them, multiple trips, and the airlines haven't managed to break one yet. Even if I overload it with heavy stuff. Not nearly as heavy-duty as a Pelican case but they've served me well.

I haven't noticed anything stinking like plastic after coming out of the trunk. I generally make a point to put everything through a fresh scent control routine prior to hunting with it, anyway, so I'm not overly concerned about that. I guess if I cared I could put a sachet of baking soda or a couple of cedar scraps in with everything but haven't gone that far yet.

So simple, yet so useful. This replaces the cheesy little spoils I was making myself that kept breaking.

My favorite bit of new gear for 2023 so far.

If you are talking about the wind pro fleece jacket, I really like mine. Not windproof but more resistant than regular fleece for sure. Works well as an outer in not real cold windy conditions and makes a good mid layer in those conditions.
 
FYI Superior fleece got their hands on some scrap Kuiu Windpro fleece fabric and is making hoodies with it. I picked up one and it's nice. Going to add a zipper, thumbholes and maybe a handpocket. They're not taking any orders until early fall right now, so it might be a moot point.

I’ve used the midi pants as an outer layer a few times, so I personally like the belt

I agree, if the pants were only going to be a mid layer then I would not bother with any of them, I see the advantage as being able to wear them as a warmer weather outer layer and a cooler weather mid layer. I like the pocket layout and the belt of the Origin's and the side vents of the Strongfleece.

I don't know or care what it takes to launch a website. I do look forward to the platform not being good enough though :tearsofjoy:

Which expo is this launch happening at? They're not on the only list I've seen for the one in Kzoo, which is also not on that website...
