New Gear for 2023, Go!

My brother showed Cody his Kifaru E&E two years ago at the GAOS and he took interest in it and said he didn’t know that Kifaru had a pack like that. Looks like he took the E&E to the next level. Also did anybody hear someone smack that cricket about 40 sec into the video? Lol

For that price I would go 3V Outlaw sling pack all day over that. I have the LW Wolfpack, but that new one is just too small for the price.
You’re not wrong at all man! I had a Wolfpack and slightly regret selling it but 300$ for it is also insane. The 150$ for the waist pack is crazy too tbh. I’m still a sucker for it. They saw me coming.

New hoodie
Looks sweet, oh it's $150 and no small. It seems more and more companies are skipping smalls and starting at medium.

Just got the FL Origin pants. They feel like fleece PJs. Super stretchy and soft. Think imma send them back tho. They feel kinda redundant for me. I don't like baselayers under them because it feels bunched up at the leg cuffs. They feel like a hybrid of baselayers and an outerwear pant imo. Id rather just were baselayers with a dedicated outerwear pant with a ton of packets and cargo Pockets.
This mid layer design were the leg cuffs taper down annoys me to. Kuiu,Sitka, and FL all do this. I want something exactly like the corrugate pants with an fleece lining added. Not as heavy as something like the catalyst pants so they can still be used as a mid layer. Not everyone wears rubber boots for this tapered design

Been using a modified E&E for about two years and it works perfectly. On the tactical frame and also on my .5. Just less pack to haul up the tree.

Can't find the brand I actually saw in the store earlier, but same features. 1/4-zip hoodie, sherpa lining, tunnel handwarmer on the chest, above the kangaroo pocket, standard kangaroo pocket, plus a top-loading zipper pocket sized to fit 2 phones, or a phone and a battery pack.

ETA: I think the brand is Banded but I can't find a picture of the garment I saw.

New crossbow, Barnett Recruit XP, for use in the blind with my kid and when it’s ridiculously cold and I don’t want to tweak my shoulder drawing my compound. I like the size and weight, shoots 330fps which is plenty fast for the shot distances I expect. Using new broadheads with it, Grim Reaper Pro Series. My Montecs didn’t fly great past 25yds so I decided to go with mechs after many conversations with pro shops and Barnett. Those Grim Reapers are nasty sharp and some of the wound channels I’ve seen are kinda horrifyingly gruesome. That’s great for me because I’m awful at finding blood lol.

Just discovered a patch of milkweed on our property last year, been waiting all summer for the pods to mature and today I finally got a few really nice pods to pop. Guess that means milkweed is a new piece of my kit! Lol
