New Gear for 2023, Go!

Ashby tests were heavily biased and mostly BS. Repeat his tests yourself. See what you find. His soft tissue tests were absolutely bogus.

Yeah, still surprised they tested it and said something "nice".

I don't follow them or RF at all.

Even the new reports include categories which score against Ashby's preferences in design vs the actual performance. (Such as broadhead mechanical advantage, tip design, type of edge bevel, & broadhead silhouette.)

Structural integrity and penetration are where I find the new information worth looking at.

Interesting and good catch.

They should be testing their design criteria against the real world.

Yes unless you are the one shooting the Buffalo. Even with 20" of penitration, no way would I do it. If you thought that Doe in the vid attacking the dog was tuff.

Yeah, that's so remote to my plans, that I was only thinking "if it'll split a cape buffalo rib, then whitetail rib is nothing".

If I ever hunt dangerous game, I'll have a 500 plus grain arrow with a really pointy and stout broadhead and a guy near me with a rifle.

Probably this discussion belongs on another thread. There's a whole test you can read and compare all the results. Imo, SEVR stood up well, comparatively.

It sounds like the new for 2023 Sevr 1.75" really pleased Lusk. Should be a nice option for deer.

Tuff head has a RF edition single bevel 200gr. Hundo for 3. They look just like a cutthroat......cutthroat raised their prices and they have a 3blade and some other stuff new on their website

Is there info about it anywhere yet? I don't remember seeing it.

I haven't seen the official specifics. But it was at TAC PA.

It's based on the platform they had on display two ATAs ago, but they made some changes. They keep saying it's going to be the deepest/one of the deepest platforms on the market. I think I remember they were targeting mid 3lb range, but I could be wrong. I can't pull up the video where they discussed the changes and what not.

Will have to wait to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

How much u guys willing to pay for the tree trunk holders/ saddle demo/phone pole plate holder thing like in that pic?

I'd buy one for my archery club. $300? Shipping may be the problem. Looks like a heavy duty Christmas Tree holder.
