New Gear for 2023, Go!

Only so many ways you can configure a treestand or set of sticks. All end up mostly similar.

You have a point. But if you come out with 1.5lb climbing stick. Ya won’t get much more than an eye roll out of me.

Is tethrd and catalyst the only companies that could come up with 1lb climbing sticks?…..Yeesh!

that new stick design is CRAZY! I wonder where that could have come from... And did you hear it will end up being almost a pound?? What a surprise...

Hahahahha. I kind of don’t understand the whole XOP thing in general. LWCG/LW/XOP… that stick arrangement is certainly not compact in the video.

also, I’ve used Amsteel on sticks, try using webbing and you’ll probably not go back. Same hitch.

I’ve found that any upward pressure or accidentally bumping a stick put up with Amsteel has a possibility of popping up, and sliding down the tree. I can’t get webbing to do that. Far more stable

I’d say tethrd has them beat just based on how they stack. That’s assuming their gen3’s don’t break…

Yeah, I'm not sure how they'll compete.

Frankly I don't love how the ONE sticks stack either, but these are a much bulkier stack. Worse than Beast Sticks it seems which are at least in-line. They do seem to integrate to the stand, but in a manner that is far from ideal.

It's hard to imagine a lighter stick than the Tethrd ONE, they won't break that barrier.

For these to sell, they must offer some advantage. Hard to say what.

Made in USA...no
Better pricing...
More foot room...
Stronger (perceived) build...
Better purchasing options (4pack and singles)...
More aider configurable...

Idk.

I wonder how they didn’t hit any patent stuff? Weird. They look interesting though! If they arnt on their 3rd gen within a year they might be the way to go. Not hating just simply saying.
I believe the only patented items on the One stick was the “chemical weld” and the rope cleat. So if their sticks don’t use glue and their connection point is different they should be golden
