New Gear Release 2022!

I will say, their caption does say that a saddle is contained in the zipper. That being said, I'm not sure how keeping it in there is a benefit to anything other than maybe the walk in/out.
I saw that and interpreted it as a re-imagining of the Dryad Drey. Still, the Amsteel leg loops are a pretty solid no-go from me. How much damage would they do in a fall?

I’m guessing they would act as two tourniquets on your femoral arteries to ensure you lose all function of your legs.

I am patiently (sort of) waiting on the new sticks from latitude and cruzr. I don’t think I buy the first batch of anything but if I can shave close to four pounds off my set up, I’ll be interested. We may have to change the thread to 2023 new gear but that seems to be status quo for the saddle game.

i won't save any weight, maybe gain a pound going to 4 sticks at 1 pound each, but it should cut my climbing time in half

i wish tree hopper would make a tree suit platform with a slightly different size/shape so that you can fully stand up on it....but keep the rugged simplicity and lightweight of the original

sometimes, i just really need or want to fully stand up and the predator is the bare minimum size i can do that on

Does anyone have any knowledge about the Latitude and/or Cruzr sticks? Both seem to be claiming 1 lb. I was set on most likely purchasing the Latitudes when released but now would like to know more about each. In all honesty I’ll probably just go with the first ones that are released if I’m fast enough. Lol. Would love to know more about each though so I can compare. The struggle’s real. It’s like I’m asking who wants to take my money first? Anyone?

Thanks, do we know if the Latitude sticks will be double steps? They did respond to my email and said late July or August, 1 lb, but no other info. Said will be competitively priced with other premium sticks

I do not know about the Latitude steps.
I do not like the return policy of either company. If I cannot try the sticks and return them if I dont like them then I am not sure I would take the risk. Cruzr is 1.5 hour drive so if they look good and i can try before i buy i may make the drive.

I use 4 24” beast sticks right now. At 5’8” the 22” step is a bit much. If I can get 4 sticks around 1# each and one aider should get me about the same height. That’s a lot of weight difference for me. The Tethrd sticks just have had too many issues for me to try and the TN sticks flexed like a wet noodle.

New gear.
Dane just added the "Premium" leg strap to the website. It's got the 3" webbing for more comfort rope climbing or 1-sticking (like his prior offering of the "Sling" leg strap) but unlike the Sling leg strap, the Premium leg strap has two AustriAlpin 18kN Cobra buckles, so it's much quicker and easier to put on. I just ordered one to go with my Mini Drey. Use coupon code SADDLEHNTR for 10% OFF site wide.

Of course, I just ordered the sling.

Now that I've looked at them it's just a sling with buckles right?
