I used to use the dutchware gear woven daisy chain as a tether. It's pretty great stuff.

I don't like it as a gear hanger because the loops flatten and make it a little more difficult to quickly attach hangers. Also, I prefer a smaller size webbing. The 1" is a little annoying for me. I prefer the smallest size webbing you can find. 5/8" or 3/4" is better. It makes everything easier.

Gotcha. So what’s your hangup with the width?

That’s all 5 straps that I will be using for my sticks and platform on 1 Lone Wolf VersaButton.

No hang up with the width. I was just simply correcting misinformation. There’s a pretty significant difference between a 7/16” wide strap and a 1” wide strap. There’s a huge difference in how a 1” wide strap will perform on a LW button versus a Beast stick button. You seem to be very pleased with how the Dutchware strap is performing on your LW button sticks and platform. You’ve just cut a lot of weight, bulk, and noise from your setup in a way that works for you. I call that a win!

@dalton916 I think there are much better options for bridges, but it works pretty darn well for a tether. I ended up going back to a rope tether because I like the micro-adjustability of my ropeman.

I won’t be going away from my rope bridge anytime soon I don’t reckon, but now I know I have a more than adequate bridge available if I need it in a pinch.

Two is one, one is none

Got a question for u.

I’m cutting some heliums down to 15”

How far down is the button on ur short LWs?

Do u feel it’s a good spot or would slightly lower be more secure?

I’ll measure it and get back to you. Those sticks are LW Minis so they decided that was a good place for it and I’ve never given it a second thought. I’ve never had an issue that made me think it needs to be higher or lower so they must have gotten it right.

Cool

Thanks

It seems a little lower respectively compared to full length sticks

Hopefully I can get these done before I leave tomorrow afternoon to go on my quota hunt

The versa button is 6.5” from the top of the stick and 6” from step bolt to versa button bolt.

I had gotten one of the daisy chains from Dutch ware a while back to try on one of my lone wolf sticks I’ve liked it enough I’m going to switch my others I did find a trick to help on a tree that falls between the loops if you wrap it around the stick tight once under the versa then the loop will usually fall perfect to go over it.
