That is not completely true. This was a product announcement by the owner of Tethrd. The thread was titled "New climbing sticks from Tethrd". This clearly violates our vendor rules. I pretty much ask for 2 things around here. 1. I ask for people to behave. 2. I ask vendors to not take advantage of this place and follow the vendor rules. This site is for hunters to discuss products and gear, etc, not for vendors to promote them.

You don’t allow political discussions either. So there is number 3

Your house so your rules..... Does seem silly that the other threads hyping products are kosher

So anyone who is not associated with tethrd can post a thread of those sticks? I would like to see them and the discussion like the OOAL sticks...

Someone from tethered send the pictures to somebody not from tethered so we can see/discuss them...... The way the steps nested together incorporating the step traction cut outs was a good idea.

I see a lot of selective enforcement on this site, just sayin...

No you don't. Red and others have explained it above but it's simple. SH members can post and freely discuss any item or new product they find out about or want to discuss. Company representatives cannot come on here and advertise and market new products, even if they try to do it under the guise of "getting feedback". It's really not hard guys.

I'm kind of ignorant about forum etiquette but why can't there be a place on this site where vendors can advertise and seek feedback? Haven't many of the company's owners been a big part of this site? I'm not asking this with any attitude, I am just trying to understand.

The thread way clearly placed to create hype. There was no data provided or discussion about specs. I can understand the need to try and curb the use of the site away from vendor induced hype and steer it towards open discussion between users about the equipment or the anticipation of that equipments release. I would love to hear about the sticks, but from unbiased users. Cant wait to hear more!
