Novix tree stand!

I prefer the dimensions and the batwing on the Novix, but I just wanted one stand so I’m going to stick with the beast only because of the weight...
If someone made a stand just like the Helo out of aluminum billet like LWCG or the BEAST with everything the same as the Helo I would sell the beast in a heartbeat... but I need something that’s really light so the Novix is on its way to OH.
 
I just canceled my order with novix for 2 Helo stands. I'm just gonna use my 2 Assault 2 stands. Really need to quit buying stuff and pay 200.00 for my WV out of state hunting license my Assaults stands will still kill deer as good as the rest of them!!!

Good for you, brother! Stand up and shout it.

Nothing but love for Novix, Beast gear, LWCG, etc. I hope they sell a bazillion stands. And when my alpha needs replacing, I'll be glad to support them.
But, I just can't justify ditching my "old" LW for a new stand just because it's a few lbs lighter.

I just looked it up, and the cell phone I'm typing on right now weighs 8oz. That's half a pound.

A 32oz bottle of water weighs 2lbs.

Seriously, you can shed 2lbs by taking a dump before you go out hunting.

Anybody considering upgrading stands based solely on the weight must be in absolute peak physical condition without an oz of body fat to lose. (Maybe Cody d'aquisto).

Otherwise, I don't need to hear about maximizing hunter mobility.
 
I see your point. It's precisely this reason I spend my off season doing curls with my right arm while spouting off on internet forums.

Did you know a pint of beer weighs exactly 1lb?
I'm gonna lift like a thousand of them before fall. I'll be ripped by then!

Be sure and alternate arms . . . you don't want to get lopsided. :tearsofjoy:
 
Seriously, not even trying to be a wise guy.

I've got a LW alpha and I've never even tried using a smaller stand.

The base of the helo seems barely wider than the seat itself. Don't you guys feel cramped?

When sitting for several hours, I like to alternate between sitting and standing. But, I don't want to have to stand straight upright with my feet together like a pencil. It's nice to have even a few inches to be able to stretch just a little from time to time.

Is that not an issue for you guys?

Again, not badmouthing any stands whatsoever.

I never do all day sits, and I sit like a statue for hrs on end in the stand. Really only get up to take a leak
