Novix tree stand!

I'm with you, but at 6' 220 I'm a little worried it is too small. The Helo might work better for me in this regard (I'm totally comfortable in my Assault 2).

The thing that always brings me back to the .5, in addition to the awesome light weight, is the packability with their mini sticks. That side stacking design with the j-hooks seems like the most efficient system out there. I also noticed on the LWCG site that they are offering 3 different mini stick sizes (14, 17, 20). Hadn't noticed that before.

The Helo is the right price and the right size, just a little heavy and no improvement in annoying stick packability.

I noticed a price increase too…

I mean, have you consider a better packing straps system and waist support? I feel that 3-4 lbs difference can be overcome from .5 and Helo. Or is the hanging it on a tree the things that make you want to get the lighter stand?
Its both I think. I have been using the military Molle pack straps and kidney belt for a while now, and they are great except they are heavy. Hanging that 6lb stand has to be a dream too.

I am the type of guy that is always looking for the pinnacle in gear......clothing, stands, bows, etc.....its a sickness, haha, if I feel a piece of gear will give me some type of advantage (weight savings, warm clothes) I am drawn to it.

Sat in the Helo for about 1-2 hours yesterday. Felt like the right size to me. I don’t think I’d want much smaller. I don’t think I want to use a .5 without a saddle. I’d be fine without a saddle in the Helo.

I am 6’1” 235 lbs and rock a .5, zero regrets, I plan on using my saddle for a seat but find the seat post height perfect for me if I do sit down a couple minutes, I have a long torso and shorter legs I guess, my seat cushion is on the bottom of the seat, flip it up and put my knees against it, it’s the perfect height for this and wicked comfy, combined with the mini sticks and the packing profile is unmatched in my opinion.

I think you would be quite happy with the .5. II"m 6'3", 195lbs and the windwalker is plenty for me to sit all day, or get up and stand and take shots without worrying about falling off. The first time out your'e like "Whoa"...then youre fine. I wear a 10.5-11.5 shoe depending on the brand. My size 11 lacrosse alpha burley's are fine.

When do you actually USE the front several inches of the stand? with good gear management and a consistent system of hanging stuff on the tree, I"ve never felt cramped....

I have to admit, I am close to selling my new Helo and modded LW sandcast to get a LWCG .5........I am 5'7" and I think the seat height would be good for me....and its soo light. Kind of thinking of bailing out on all the "good" stands and getting what I think is the top one.

How many different mobile tree stands can you sit on at the exact same time? (One….unless you have an exceptionally large….seating area). How many different mobile stands are you going to use in any given season? Only you can know or determine that!

It says $114.99 for singles of the the 14" and 20", $99.99 for singles of the 17"

Select 4 packs of either the 14" or 20" sticks and it still says $114.99. Too bad they're not in stock. :)
Yep, I'm in at 114.99 for a 4 pack. I been looking for a set but never seem to find them while I have the funds.

Exactly my current thoughts..... I didn't even mention the heavily modded M7 I have....I have been thinking about this for a while. Preset stands are one thing to have a bunch of, but multiple mobile stands doesn't make sense to me. Thinking of consolidating to one expensive light one.

Imagine how nice the stands will be in a couple years! Or summers end! Wait for it....hahahahaha....but really, imagine.

If I commit to hunting all my mobile set ups once, I'll have a nice, long season. :)

I'm primarily running the .5. It will be interesting to see if I grab my climbing platform or XL platform. I'm not ruling out my M7 either, especially for the late season.

I plan to have several presets this year. Which stand ends up being my mobile stand is yet to be determined. My Echo and Helo are both supposed to arrive today. I can tell you that I'll never set my Hawk small stand again (whatever that thing is called). Just way to short for me, worst 4 hours of my life while hunting.

Does anyone have a good source for foot rest that are fairly universal?

With a little fabrication, you can put the LW ones on most stands.

most…. I don’t think I would be drilling a 1/4” hole through those 3/32” wide rungs on the beast stand. Saw a pic some guy did that. He is out of his mind!

Any more video reviews of this stand? Id like to get it but just cant push myself to it.

1/4" is larger than 3/32"

Making one tonight with my buddy who has a YouTube channel. I’ll post in the next couple days. Anything specific you guys want to see?
Cool!

Hmm....Overlays on various stands. Top view with size 11 boots while standing on it....bouncing to check for flex. Actual weight on luggage scale. Setting and Side pressure on minimum diameter tree. same for max diameter...
