Novix tree stand!

I looked at those seats. The large one is 19” wide the other is 16”…Even I can’t justify $87.50 for a seat.

Hmm. $625 for the Beast stand...this seat is like 15% of that. Come on, you'll come out ahead on classifieds :tearsofjoy:

When you say looked at, you mean in person or online?

The mesh seat is not for me, to heavy, and to big. I just posted in case it worked for someone else. Its good to have options..

I just happened to come across this video the other day about the mesh seat. Assuming it’s the same one your talking about.

wow… that thing is huge. @Vtbow probably puked in his mouth when he put that on his back…

I can agree with wanting a more comfortable tree stand seat.
This old OL Man Roust tree stand has a net seat. Very comfortable.
So comfortable, I thought about making a DYI saddle out of netting.
Will someone patent my idea? LOL.

Well thats too simple......these manufacturers wouldn't be able to use there fancy CNC skills to make these uncomfortable seats if they took your advice.... :tearsofjoy:

Is it just an optical illusion, or is the Helo seat actually larger than the Assault seat? It looks like I can see a gap between the two all the way around.

its the same seat and post

I have to admit, I am close to selling my new Helo and modded LW sandcast to get a LWCG .5........I am 5'7" and I think the seat height would be good for me....and its soo light. Kind of thinking of bailing out on all the "good" stands and getting what I think is the top one.

.5 is a nice stand. You would like it. As long as you deal with 3.5” off the front of the helo.

Yeah I realize its small, but I wouldn't be using it for long sits. I hunt alot of evenings after work, up on the side of a mountain, and I only really need to sit 3 hours. Even saturday mornings in October.......3-4 hours. I have other stands for longer sits. Super tempted to pull the trigger.

1.0 and .5 are the best stands on the market imo

I mean, have you consider a better packing straps system and waist support? I feel that 3-4 lbs difference can be overcome from .5 and Helo. Or is the hanging it on a tree the things that make you want to get the lighter stand?

I'm with you, but at 6' 220 I'm a little worried it is too small. The Helo might work better for me in this regard (I'm totally comfortable in my Assault 2).

The thing that always brings me back to the .5, in addition to the awesome light weight, is the packability with their mini sticks. That side stacking design with the j-hooks seems like the most efficient system out there. I also noticed on the LWCG site that they are offering 3 different mini stick sizes (14, 17, 20). Hadn't noticed that before.

The Helo is the right price and the right size, just a little heavy and no improvement in annoying stick packability.
