Novix tree stand!

I just sold my assault ii and hush to keep the Helo. Turns out for me the least expensive stand was the winner.

I held the novix up to the .5 today. The Helo was narrower than the .5, but about 4-5” longer. I find the Helo width is what sold it for me. And by Helo, with batwing and strap is weighing 9.4#.

Why did you chose the novix over the hush?

I was referring to the fact that the 8.5# Assaults are still better spec wise than this new Novix stand.

BUT the availability and cost of the Novix stand is still a great budget oriented stand for guys starting out or to have a backup stand?

I think we’re all aware that the 8.5# Assaults are no longer in production and haven’t been for many years.

Did anyone notice the hooks on the sides of the seat on the Helo seat? Thinking of cutting the seat down at the top would look like what is in this picture frame. Anyone one think it would still be strong enough?Screenshot_20210718-094521_Chrome.jpg
 
Yea I don’t have the hooks on mine either. That looks like an older assault II alpha II seat

Don't know I got the picture's off here I'm was thinking about cutting the seat and just noticed the hooks in the picture's. I haven't got my stand yet.

I’d prefer the hooks myself I’d call it a bonus
 
Lone Wolf seats Alpha1 bottom, LW 8.5 left, Helo right

For now I think I will swap the seat and post from the Alpha1 on to the Helo. I lose the seat level as the Alpha doest have that but gain a smaller set. I havent weighed just the seats. The Alpha & 8.5 dont put my legs to sleep like the Assault II does even thow they have the same height. It has to be the smaller seat. I emaild Novix Friday asking for a smaller seat. We will see if they can make that happen.

Yeah I had to get one it's a good deal at 204.00 with the discount it will be here Thursday. I'm gonna use it as a back up for my .5

Had the .5. Liked it, but couldn't get used to the camming over noise from the milled out aluminum. I know my assault cast stand made less noise; we'll find out about the helo.
