NutterBuster Tries a Platform Again

Yeah, it came out slick. I like it a lot. I have a bow to do, and I"ll probably do my treesuit platform now too!

I've been building platforms for presets, all treated lumber, poly glue, ratchet strapped on to the tree. Solid and cheap. Takes a table saw and a compound miter saw. Plywood platform is treated 1/2 inch. I figure they should last about 10 years hanging all 365 days each year.

Still looking for measurements.
Here ya go. Tubing is 1", 1/8 wall. Flat stock is 1", 1/4" thickness.

I was on the fence about ordering a podium but I think I can build this to see if I like a platform.

Just an FYI, put a quick video up in the first post demonsteating how easy the platform is to set up and how steady on the tree it is.

I'm looking forward to pulling this thing out of my bag-o-tricks once in a while.
Good video. Your killing me though, I started project and welder ran out of wire. Never fails. I pick more up tomorrow and finish. I may of went to light, we'll see?? I just build for fun.

Love the crocs. I'm kicking around the idea of building a few of these and have a couple ideas/questions. Would an OCB buckle work better or is the cam strap sufficient?

I think the crocs will do ok without either. Cam buckle might be easier to adjust

Cam strap is what I'm using in the video, and it gets plenty tight. I thought about an OCB, but I don't believe it's needed. The treesuit is honestly about the steadiest thing I've ever put my feet on. And the cam buckle is so easy!

I made two today and was planning to put some on classifieds for use at ground level only .lol. I'm using a ratchet strap to try them and the steel makes a squeak against the bark of the tree. I'll wait till my strap and buckle comes from Dan O to try that. You are right though its rock solid.
