One Sticking - First Attempt

Any of you one stickers out there have suggestions on aiders? I found that practicing one sticking the other night, and aider is pretty necessary. Was thinking of running a 1" wide 18" long loop of webbing that is detachable at hunting height, but curious about other suggestions? Thanks!
I run a 24in GM climb runner with a zip tie installed ala @SloMo. It works great for me. I wrap it around the bottom stick standoff. It ends up being about an 18" step when its all said and done.

Okay so I just added a gray one to my cart but before I buy it, does it measure 24" top to bottom or is that overall length making it 12" top to bottom?

Ive become a big fan of the amsteel aiders. Super Light and tough. Im using the 1/8th Amsteel with red fuel line to cover the steps. A single step aider is very easy to make, but there are a few folks who sell them.

I use a 3 step aider I stitched up. 16” per step
Is a 3 step necessary though? I am far from flexible and when I was trying one-sticking I seemed to be wanting to put my boot around 18" below my stick on the tree to make another step.. I guess 3 would get you a lot longer stride? But, I am already at 18-22' (depending on where I decide to stop) in 3 moves! So in turn, it wouldn't buy me that much I don't think.

1/8"?!?!?!? That Amsteel much be some tough stuff! I'm yet to build anything with it but my bridge is Amsteel blue obviously. To the eye it looks cheap when not under load, but under load when its pulled tight it seemed rugged!

1/8th is actually big by most standards. Lots of folks are using 7/64. 2400 lbs to break the 1/8th. Super tough stuff.

Excuse the crappy video skills.

Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine....no, but it's sterile and I like the taste.

On my photo above, I have a two step aider attached to my one stick.

Im a little scared to look at your videos and photos...I might learn something new, and I might see up your shorts.
Nothing to see here....move along. :D
Inner liner on my shorts should prevent any dangling participles.

Since I moved to no sticking with a platform I have found the wider your aider attachment can be the better. The stability and ease of use with the two points of attachment are worth trying to get on a stick if you can. Or just use a platform and quit being a stick in the mud.

Wait... so you just use an aider and a platform...?
