Love these, awesome we keep modding and getting lighter. Ive been working on a similar design using DanO’s parts. Working at it too slowly. I have one prototype partly finished. I ll take a pic soon.

Never understood the deep V cleats with a lot of these sticks. It would seem that it would have much more surface area contact and be more stable with a shallower cleat. The deep ones would be perfect for a 6" diameter tree.

I am pretty sure it is to get the stick off the tree to make room for your feet.

Matt said on facebook that these sticks are going to run $99.99 per stick. Not sure if he was joking or serious?

Never used sticks but want to get some, gonna try the $100 heliums and modify for next year. Gonna keep my cranfords regardless if i like sticks or not, but i cant see paying $100 a stick.

If beast, lwcg, and doublesteps sticks are worth the asking price these will be also as long as he delivers on what we are seeing so far. That said a set of modded hawks are pretty nice. Not nearly as nice as these higher end models but it would be tough to say the others are worth double or triple unless you just detest the hawks.

that’s just it are beast and LWCG worth the price? I have had them both and I don’t think they are. Not even close.

That’s interesting. I haven’t owned either because I can’t justify the cost of the sticks. Other people say it has to be worth it if they stay sold out. I say that only holds true if people are happy when they get them.

I don't think most have the tooling to make them. I doubt he's making anymore of a margin on these sticks than Infalt or LWCG, and probably not much more than Hawk is on the helium's. It's like any 'technology' you get to a point where minor improvements cost significant money. Im sure the minor improvements will be worth it to some. Personally, I'm happy with my three helium's for $99 but, for many the improvements will be worth the cost. That's good for them and OOAL.
