I was the unofficial product tester I had their article one (still do). It is by far the best platform I have ever used. There's "no free lunch" so if you want a platform you can roll out a blanket and have a picnic on this isn't it. If you want the lightest and most packable platform for serious saddle hunters this IS it.
I don't have incredibly large feet but it works great more comfortable than you would think since you never really stand when saddle hunting (at least I don't) you just need some where you rest your feet until go time this give me just that and the ability to move anywhere on the tree when the time comesDo you feel like you have enough room for your boots? I’ve been toying with the idea of picking one up for short hunts but I’m worried about my relatively large shoe having enough real estate to be comfortable. I don’t feel like I need a big wide platform, but I’m afraid I’m not gonna have room to distribute my weight. Thoughts?

Try adding two steps to the strap. I almost sold mine until I did that and now it's the most rock solid platform I have tried and can move around the tree with easeI like the compact idea of the scout but man i wish it had just a little bigger platform to stand on to adjust for those weakside shots...
I have a strait scout and you can turn for weak side shots but it's on a stick so it sticks out far enough to accomplish that. The added weight of a stick is negligable.I have a 20" stick but you can get a mini stick and I'd bet that you'd still be under a pound.I use mine for one stick climbing and climb with a daisy chain because it's easier to pull up.When you get to hunting height, just put a camlock strap on.Those shikar sticks bike into a tree like no other..I like the compact idea of the scout but man i wish it had just a little bigger platform to stand on to adjust for those weakside shots...
Two tree hopper steps on mine and it’s awesome.
I bet that stick weighs 6 lbs lolOr rock the Arti-Scout
