Which buckle is that? It looks similar to one of the first ones I tried that I didn't have much luck with. For a one inch buckle I've had much better luck with the "boat buckle". Have you tried it on a tree? Let me know if you get it to work :D
 
I don't know if I have it fed right but I have to pull the slack out strait and then pull it back through but it gets real tight. I'll try it tommorow and let ya know

Took a short video tonight while I was standing on the steps to show you guys how solid mine is. I shifted my weight a bit but I was hunting so I wasn't going to jump up and down on it :lol: . I only noticed the one step at the top on the end of the video move a little bit but it doesn't affect anything.

I can't remember how I fed that one at this point. If it works for you, let me know cause I have 2 in the garage :D
 
Just got my 1in boat buckle in. I noticed the buckle is held together by 2 small rivets. Scared me! So I looked at my 2in one and its the same. I guess if it will break, it will break while camming it over.

Same here I looked at the joint after a few times of use and wondered is it getting weak already or poor choice of materials? I agree, that rivet is gonna shear off if there is a failure.
 
I couldn't get my loggy bayou cam buckle to get tight at all and never was able to. I'm gonna try the boat buckle.

It will get super tight if you work at it.
