The average journalist seems to be more aware of activism than facts when it comes to guns, gun control laws, etc. Just because an editor signed off on a reporter's reporting doesn't make it factual.

I'm surprised he hasn't been caught by now. I know there's a lot of forest and hunting in Maine, and I hope that no hunters get a nasty surprise when they show up to their cabins.
We're in Southern Maine so not much for hunting cabins except maybe on Merrymeeting Bay for duck hunting and that's rare nowadays. Firearm season for deer doesn't start until tomorrow and they alluded in this mornings press conference that they are working closely with Maine Fish and Wildlife and may tell hunters to avoid the areas that they are actively searching. They have several areas they are searching and the search is widening by the minute.

To address a question raised earlier. Our state just issued a statement saying there will be no hunting allowed in 4 different towns that they will be conducting searches in until further notice. 4 years ago I lived in one of those towns. I was there for 20 years. It would seem really strange to have your season cancelled for such a strange reason. I absolutely agree with their decision though.

it sucks, but i agree as well until they either catch him or confirm he is deceased...on the run hes gonna be an oppurtunist and desperate. you running into him in the woods alone might not end well for you.

Maine is big country. It is quicker to drive from Kittery ME to Philadelphia PA than it is to drive from Kittery to Madawaska ME and there is a lot of 75 mph highway in ME.
