 Mines old enough to not have a date on it from what I can tell. I’m not holding onto it any longer to wait and find out though. Give me Ring of Steps or give me death :tearsofjoy: That’s all I used the entire season anyway.

I never used mine all I did was painted it with the sponge method. I just checked it and the bolt is off center . The number on it looks like 10819 .
Is Tethrd doing anything about the platform even if it's not broken? I had the Gen 1 and it didn't break but they took that back and sent me a Gen 2. But I never even noticed the hole was off center on the Gen 2 .

No way I never even used it. I have a Mission that I use but if I use it and it cracks I'll contact Tethrd and I am sure that they will take care of it.

@g2outdoors can you please explain whether an offset hole is a cause for concern? I'd have to imagine its the degree of the offset that could be a cause for concern.

The amount of disinformation and assumptions in this thread is both dangerous to consumers and the providing-company alike. Its really starting to get to me.

Like I said I never used mine not because the holes off center I just like my bigger platform. I have had no problem with Tethrd and I'm sure they will handle this situation also. Just because it's off center doesn't mean it would crack. I was just wondering if they were going to take them back if the holes are off center. I just didn't get this platform I have had it for awhile and it's been in a bin just sitting there. If I didn't read about them cracking on this thread if the hole was off center I wouldn't have ever noticed it or check it.

That's more unnerving that any of the stuff I've read so far. Telling me you don't have root cause, don't have contain, and haven't established a clean point isn't what I wanted to hear. Things need to be a hell of a lot more definitive than "only 30 have broken".
Maybe you should just walk to your hunting spot and stay on the ground bro. Or, build your own platform for elevation. That way, when it cracks and/or fails you can only blame yourself.

Or not buy scrap from a company that's plays the wait and see game with your safety. Same response from the boys at Tethrd... laughable how their fan boys flock.

are you still using yours? i'd send it back or unload it in the classifieds if i didn't have confidence in it based on the rate of failure or explanation. plenty of comparable options out there.

Send it back with a full refund? I didn't know Tethrd was being so upright.
I take everything back....:openmouth:

They have fine print concerning time limits on such matters, but everyone always says, “they’ll make it right”. Only one way to find out.

If not, then classifieds can always find it a new home.

Yes the platform should be safe to operate. However, you should be relying on your tether with no slack to hold ALL of your weight. If the platform breaks while you are sitting or climbing onto, a properly used tether shouldn’t result in any serious injury other than to the permanent stains in your expensive camo pants. The platform is like an ottoman, just a spot to rest your feet. If I pulled an ottoman out from under your feet while sitting on the couch, you wouldn’t/shouldn’t fall to the floor.

granted I wouldn’t want my platform breaking when leaning back during a shot. That could be dangerous with a bow draw back.

So ie, I agree the platform should be safe and recalled, but hoping nobody is expecting them to be responsible for holding your weight alone. Keep them tethers tight!

Dude, knock it off. I'm generally on Tethrds side, and have supported them with my hard earned money more than I'd care to tally.

Grow up
