Rambo bike going on its first hunt.

Broke down and purchased the 1000w Rambo. Man I am stoked to use this for the season. Rode briefly around he farm today and this thing will go faster than I care to go and is insanely quiet. Gonna be a game changer for sure.

I can't wait for the season to start. I've put 16 miles on my 750 just around the horse pasture, climbing hills and getting use to it. I put a friend (215#) in the cart and I pulled him up a steep bank without any issues.

Yeah I put my brother in the deer cart and it pulled him no problem. You can definitely tell the added weight is back there but it gets the job done. We have a 3 day velvet hunt this weekend and it will be put to the test.

My friend is letting me use is Radrover for hunting this year. He has a Quietkat they both are awesome fat tire bikes.

#xcitepowerbikes $1800 750W. Not badly priced... about the same as a nice tikka t3 and good scope... just gets you more mobile. My favorite use is scouting several areas on a huge property in a single day... worth every penny

If you hunt rivers down here you're doing the same with a mud boat and mudmotor... only 3X the price. These things aren't just "gear" it's transportation. I leave my truck miles behind (I get it... that's harder to steal) but I leave my boat and mudmotor on the bank, throw my bike on shore, ride it till I ditch it in thick grass or willows... then walk off a mile or so.... usually less... can sh!t happen? Yeah... but that's with everything.

Hey bud good to see ya on here.

I’ll definitely be picking ur brain about those ebikes. Maybe sell off some rifles I don’t use to fund it.

My Tikka T3s are not ever going to be on the selling list tho.

Man... you made that plural! Why more than one?! I've got a 270 forest wood finish if I remember right, with a nice vortex on it... she will throw lead way down range.... but she kicks like a damn mule!

Do you ever ride to the base of the tree you are hunting from?
 
I do not use a bow or gun rack but instead place it on my backpack. This is my first year using the Rambo but I have hunted the past two season with a non motorized fat tire and storing the weapon on my backpack has worked great.
Also I feel the weapon is much safer on me than the bike.

Right, I'm in the same boat. I do not mount my weapon to the bike... too much vibration and chances for things to go wrong... remember, it's not a 4wheeler... you can and will eventually take a plunge/nose dive once you get too comfortable/complacent

My weapon is always over my neck and shoulder... probably not the safest way... but I'm not beating up the gun that way.

Also, when I'm scouting, I'm topping that thing out and blasting from point a to point b... but when I'm on my way to a hunt, I'm rarely going even 10mph... I'm just barely creeping along to keep it quiet and keep my mind in the slow and methodical game... it's also good to go slow past other hunters or others watching.... because they WILL complain... and that doesn't help us keep these options

My first spill was after a hunt, I was deep in the back of the wma (about 4 miles from my truck), I had less than an hour to check out at check station (30 minute drive once I got to my truck) and I was loaded down with too much other gear (big ole 180 summit). I was hauling through about one foot deep in muddy tractor ruts and hit a stump or rock... I was probably going about 17mph or so and all my crrap went everywhere... everything was underwater... it was terrible. I don't haul asss around anymore with gear... even if I have it secured tight.

Basically I havent found a "perfect" way to carry my weapons. I know I will be switching to pistols for muzzleloader and gun seasons, but for now the bow gets put on my back.
