Pack Breakdown
I love how thin the profile is both in its depth and width. It sets inside my profile and doesn’t stick far off my back. It’s about the depth of a water bottle. And all though it doesn’t look like it, the Predator XL is in the pack in these pics.
Bottom SYS hauler (OG version) - this is an older version and that’s important because the two side pockets are bigger. The left side holds my water bottle and the right side has some paracord in the bottom and my headlamp on top. I can access either my water bottle or headlamp easily without taking the pack off. That is real nice. In the main compartment from the bottom up is my backup release, kill kit and then a ziploc with TP for tracking or #2 business. The main compartment is just over half full and still has room for other stuff (gloves, winter hat, etc) to be put in if needed for specific trip.
Top SYS Hauler (New Version) - THis version has more pockets and is nice for organization. This hauler has Thermocell fuel and pads on the left external pack next to the Thermacell clipped on the pack. The middle external pocket has Hothands. The right external pocket has extra batteries for headlamp in ziploc bag. Inside the hauler in the inside organization pockets I have one pocket with more Thermacell fuel and pads because it's Alabama and you don't get caught without your Thermacell even in the winter. Another pocket has a couple more Hothands. And the third pocket has Nite-ize gear ties and small ziploc bags that can be used to store trash from snacks or protect my phone in the rain. The snacks hang out in the main part of the compartment. There is still lots of room in this hauler either for more food and/or extra water for an all-day hunt, pack of bullets, powerbank to charge the phone, or any other sundry item I need to bring along.
I did find that the SYS Haulers were coming unhooked from the molle so I reinforced with some gutted paracord. Both of the SYS haulers are set in the middle at the very bottom and very top
If I need to bring a jacket I can attach it with the provided lashing straps. I did modify and use the webbing attachment straps from the Tethrd Suspenders girth hitched to a molle. There are some loops you can attach to on the pack (see last pic below) but I kinda like this method and being able to repurpose those straps.
Even with a jacket attached it's still very slim and trim.
Other side of the pack. I have an s-biner for attaching the pack to HYS Stap in the tree. I have a ball compass for navigation. You can also see the loops you can use as a variety of attachment points for the lashing straps.
