Ring of Steps……. Preferred step?

Would love to get my hands on a set of the Silent Approach Minimalist Ring of Step Platform, unfortunatly they don't ship overseas:angry:, Saddle hunting gear is non exsistent here in Australia. At the moment my DIY setup is SRT since I already have the gear, tried making my own saddle, not happy with it, so it's back to my climbing harness and I'll probably try making a light weight "Treesuit" style saddle, and find something I can make a RoS style platform of.
Lots of good info in this group, Thanks
Have you tried the monkey bars by hawk? I am pretty sure they sell their stuff over seas. The steps them selves are Actually really good, I would recommend trading out their strap for an OCB style strap instead

Question. Have you called silent approach to ask him if he would? There might just not be a way to do it online. I have a feeling a lot of the smaller businesses if you called them and explained what you wanted would do it. Shipping might be a lot though.

I emailed them when I first looked at platform options and the answer was unfortunatly not possible to ship overseas. Shipping can be a killer but I can get a strap here so the weight would only be 18 oz for 6 steps.

I think the cranford rope steps are on Amazon. Will Amazon ship them to you overseas?

Do you know anyone in the states? You could always order something to their house and then send them $ to have them reship it to you. Sucks to pay shipping twice on top of retail cost but if it's a last option I'd volunteer if you're willing to trust a stranger.

edited to add: found this link while PMing with someone about potentially doing this, i don't know anything about them (and assume there's other companies too) but if you'd prefer to work with a business rather than a random person (me) check them out for shipping from US/UK to international: https://www.myus.com/

and since we were talking ropes in the PMs- looks like eastern woods outdoors, doublesteps.com (many people on here including myself are prior customers/fans) ships internationally via USPS.

What length did you go with? I'm thinking 4" long, .25 thick would be ideal for me. I'm debating on 1" or 1.5" wide. What did you do? Who has a band saw I got 6-12 steps I need to make.

Here’s mine, I will use a smaller fly cutter to make the slot next time

Can you weave a bull man pioneer step on a strap for a platform like the lone wolf straps? Anyone know? Thanks!

I have 2 steps strapped onto my predator platform strap, works like a charm and very little movement walking around tree.

Hey thanks guys! Good point about them being lower. Another reason I asked is I’ve consider getting a OOAL scout or the Preset Scout

I have the Treehopper steps. They are really nice so far. I really like how they nest. It makes them easy to pack in.
