Saddle Hunting: Packing up

I acutally use a t screw on back side to keep strap/rope at right height, I stand up on steps and then just rotate the strap on tree around as I walk the steps. I seldom need to adjust the lead to the bridge anymore. I do take extra time when prepping tree to scrap off all rough bark at the strap height. It also works with rope. Just loop it once around tree. As you stand you should have enough slack to allow tha tree strap to rotate. I still like the adjustability using the lonewolf strap between tree strap and bridge - but I have not had to use it much when walking the tree. I do use it when I adjust as I stand/sit for periosd of time.... but not so much when I walk the tree.
I saw your pictures and I'm intrigued. Just need to find time to give it a test at ground level.

I still use a rope i made around the tree most of the time. .... I just loosen the loop as I stand and walk it around the tree. ... the key is to have that Cranford Tee screw on backside as it keeps the loop from falling down. I have no problem with the web strap and lone wolf strap set up. ... but just grabbed the rope most of the time. I did ditch the aerohunter leg support and I use a 24 inch climbing runner for bridge as you do. I rarely have to walk much around the tree as I can shoot to left side or right side with low hook up. In fact I actually prefer shooting to right side by crossing my feet over and standing pretty erect (another reason for an eye level hook up). .... makes a right side tree shot rather easy even with my longbow.
