Friction hitches work on 1"webbing too
@chaded and a couple other have recently jumped in with both wallets, I mean both feet.
Would like to put someone up there as most generous as well. It’s kinda hard since soo many people I’ve met have been generous with their time, advice, and giving asking for nothing in return.
Even for a mod @GCTerpfan sticks out as that person in my mind. From showing people the saddlehunting ropes, getting people into trad, inviting people to come shoot his 3D course, or even hunt his property, @GCTerpfan has been very generous to many of us. I’ve almost felt bad with number of times I’ve reached out of the years to bug him with saddlehunting and trad tuning questions, among a plethora of other things haha!
Ha, she has no idea. What's your address again??Appreciate the kind words. I’ve meant some really good people on here and even picked up a couple hunting buddies over the years that have been equally as generous.
Although, my wife has told me I shouldn’t invite so many strange men from the internet to my house or hunting camp. She said one of these guys are going to turn out to be a “weirdo”
My ghost buckle for my ring of steps is home made though...thought up while i was drunk...im sure i still qualifyBy sketchiest saddlehunter I meant most unsafe. I use to think that was @phatkaw but now he owns about 32 tethers so he may be one of the safest saddlehunters now
Then I thought of @tailgunner climbing trees buck naked and barefoot, but now all he does is 2TC or hunt out of presets, which isn’t sketchy at all.
Maybe it is @Horn with his 6mm ropes?
Oh wait, who was that new guy that posted in the Live From The Saddle thread about trying climbing methods for the first time on the day he was going hunting. Had a couple close calls and almost got stuck in a tree several time. That was definitely sketch. @Plebe are you on the case? Need help finding out who that was.
I was thinking you might up there as the saddlehunter.com curmudgeon. I use to think it was @kyler1945 but parenthood has softened him up quite a bit. LOLGreat thread.
I'm happy to fly under the radar.
I was bad back in the day, but that’s no longer a part of my life (mostly). How about #72 Has the record for the most number of times buying/selling the same item on Classifieds
I didn't realize this was a thing until I spent some time on this site.

The last time I needed a new snowmobile helmet, a small crowd formed around me at the sled dealership, kinda of like a booner on the tailgate of a truck at your local pub during season… I tell everyone it’s completely full of brains too!Since @Fgirtyman made fun of my hat sizes, guess I should claim juggest head. What digit we up to #71?

Think it was Hemingway said “Write drunk, edit sober.” Worked pretty well for him.My ghost buckle for my ring of steps is home made though...thought up while i was drunk...
I channeled my best @Plebe and found the thread!I was bad back in the day, but that’s no longer a part of my life (mostly).

The Superlative would have to go to @Letemgrowitllshow for claiming to have done it twice with an honorable mention to @dlist777
You might be a saddle hunter if...
How about a Foxworthy-ish thread about saddle hunting? You might be a saddle hunter if... - You see pictures of someone with a big buck and think, "Yeah .. But what kind of tree did he shoot him out of?" - You own more carabiners than dinner plates. - Your boots are laced with Amsteel...saddlehunter.com
