Yup, I was on that thread as well and commented something similar. While his comment is hilarious (and I wondered if he was just trolling/joking) you have to imagine he's just not super informed yet and like you said maybe a new hunter. Hopefully he got back after the blood trail.

I didn’t get any notification so I guess he gave up and was scared off from following up with any more comments. He got roasted pretty bad on there, so don’t blame him. But a few of us that were trying to get him some advice and headed down the right road got ignored it seems. Hope he learned something from his experience
