Team 11 Thread

Good luck. We’ve got one target buck on the property I rent for me and my son. He’s been at his spot a lot in the last few weeks. He’s out of school this week and I’ve been trying to get him to go. Couldn’t help but send him this pic in his spot with about 10 minutes of shooting light. Told him he could go hunt it in the morning or I would.

The area I went to yesterday usually ruts around thanksgiving. When I went the other day I didn’t see any chasing and was surprised. I didn’t even think about thanksgiving being a week earlier this year. I’m going to hunt the public close to the house tomorrow and head back to the other spot next week when they start firing up. Feels good to start hitting the woods. We haven’t even started getting good around here yet. Y’all keep ‘em coming fellas!
 
Real nice buck! Been a really tough season for me here, saw very little rut action so far and my biggest target buck got killed just across the ridge from me last week! One thing I know is that you can’t control where they go lol! He was a dandy though! I’ll still be grinding it out until the end.
 
Didnt get to go out the last 2 weeks. My public land target buck was chillin this morning right at my tree lol. Hes not the biggest rack in the world but hes a good mature deer for public near me. Lost a lot of weight during the rut. There's a couple decent 10pts runnin in there too but this 8pt is a big body old deer. It's hard to see his g2s and g3s in that pic but he's gor some decent headgear on emScreenshot_20231125_102821_Gallery.jpg
 
I should be adding some points to our team total fellas. I shot what would be my biggest buck by far Saturday morning. Waited for my dad who had already shot a small 8 to come help track it even though I didn’t think it went far. We were unable to find it.

Long story short after talking to a guy we ran into and piecing together some other info, I’m 99% sure the buck was stolen by a guy hunting about 300 yds from me who drug it off while I was waiting on dad, without even gutting it.

@GCTerpfan I really hope that wasn’t the case but if so I hope you find it. I heard of people doing that but I see way more Facebook post saying if you shot a deer on this wma and couldn’t find it call me with the description and general area and I’ll tell you where it is type post than hear of these horror stories.
