Come on. I am not terribly familiar with the public lands, but there are a ton. This is the first year I am attempting to hunt some public to keep the pressure off my house. Definitely some pretty lands up here though. Oh and I lied about the temps. It’s 43/67 Saturday and Sunday up here haha. They should be moving

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly or not but just in case you can definitely enter two doe in the contest, one in lieu of your buck. If you shoot a buck later in the year you can upgrade one doe to a buck. At least that's the way it's been previous years.

Opening day for NY in less than an hour! Going to hunt the hillside behind the house for the morning and if nothing shows I've got an afternoon hunt at another public area that I know where there's a shooter buck.
 
Opening day here in Alabama but I gotta work. Man it’s beautiful. We had a cold front come in this week and it’s been in the high 40s in the morning and 60s in the afternoons. I’m going to try and take off work tomorrow. Good look fellas!

Spent 6 hours hanging this morning and the only excitement I had was having a red-tailed hawk almost land on me. Back at the house now eating eggs and toast then off to my evening hang location.

@SEPA@73 lay off them slickheads and get us some bone! Haha. Good luck bud.

I got 2 more weeks down here in south bama, I'm not able to drive 5 1/2 hours for those zones.
