Team 13 Thread

@woodsdog2 thanks
@Nutterbuster thank you. I didn’t weigh him. I would say around 200. Our bucks usually hit 185 at 3.5. Even though I’m in the city limits there are corn and peanuts this year less than a half mile away. The corns been cut but the peanuts are still in the ground.

Good luck everybody! I have probably done all the good I can do. Love to shoot a bigger buck, but I've never shot anything better than an 8.
Keep the faith damn it. Most depressing thing I have read all day, haha. You've proved you can kill em at certain age classes, now you just need a really healthy well fed one at that age class!

Just got back from a week in the NY finger lake region. Normally see a ton of deer - this year not so much. Got picked off by some does and later an 8 ptr at 50 yds - closest I got. Really surprised as I was at 20+ ft in a big Walnut with good (bare) branch cover.
Back at it today in NH, but with muzzleloader starting there's a lot more foot traffic on public.
Clearly out of my league on this team, but I'll keep at it 3 times a week for the remainder of the season (til mid December).
Congrats on all the successful hunts so far...

I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train

HAD A WILD MORNING!!! Definitely a sit for the record books here in Maine. 26 does and 6 bucks by 10 a.m. Nothing big enough though! Back at it this afternoon. Bless that blue full moon... btw...they were running does like crazy already and grunting a TON!

Not out of your league at all. I just got back from a hunt. After three days and a bunch of miles here’s my reward.

He was dressed up like a doe for Halloween I guess. Missed a doe the night before. My buddy called and said he had one down. I bumped mine walking out to help him get his.
He’s making me look bad.

Blew my last buck tag on another 4 point. Couldn't pass a 10 yard shot on the ground. 5 deer down so far this year. #roadto20 I'm useless unless I kill a freaknasty on the bonus buck rut hunts in January. May be ground hunting for the rest of season, since I seem to be doing well that way. Got a pacseat and a killsuit sapper en route

Please let me know how that killsuit works out.

@Nutterbuster I would have cried if my rubbed out button buck went against my limit. Luckily the feds tagged it for me. I’ve got another youth hunt this weekend and a busy week at work so it will be at least a week before I’ll be carrying a weapon in the woods.

I’m two hunts into my hunting vacation and am yet to see an animal without feathers. Maybe another beer will turn things around for this afternoon.
