Wow, that's unreal.

1 buck per state everywhere i hunt.
This year I have 5 Pa doe tags though. I'm sure I won't use 'em all. I don't need to (or want to) shoot that many...

3 for AL and 3 for MS. AL does bonus buck days on certain days/properties where you can shoot a buck that doesn't consume a tag. I believe MS has a few areas where you can kill a doe and earn an additional tag.

^^^ It sounds counterproductive to establishing a decent deer herd.
It just doesn't add up...

Nothing about AL DCNR makes sense.

Comparing them to Mississippi's DCNR, it's downright embarrassing. Email our Deer Program Coordinator asking about mature buck antler sizes and he basically said, "We don't know, but in Mississippi..."

We didn't even try to do harvest reports until a few years ago, and our data gathering is still laughable.

Told you guys I'd be good for 12 points this year. Submission pics later today.

Just dropping in to say congrats! I just happened to watch the Meateater episodes where they’re hunting sika and it was fascinating. The one biologist with them was hunting with recurve. In the second episode Cal got a spike with a muzzleloader. Seems impressive to me, Steve shot at one with the bow and it was insane how quick and twitchy they were. It almost seemed like they could dodge the shots. Anyway, congrats again.

Thanks, this is my first time down here. It's a pretty wild experience and something I can see myself continuing to do.
