Team 2 BB - Bambi Blasters

Didn't see any deer this a.m. lots of turkeys but no shot. Overall positive for my first sit hunting. Just need some tweaks, excited to get back out after soccer!

Looks like my opening day tomorrow is going to be a wash out. I was thinking of going anyway but now they are calling for 20 mile an hour winds. Guess I'll play it by ear. I'm getting jealous of you guys that are already out there.

forecast lightened up a little so I went out. Still got real wet though. saw 5 doe, nothing within shooting distance.

Nice opening morning. Had 2 nice bucks 30ish yards away, but thick brush and a shaky leg kept arrows from flying.

Was about to get down when this doe and her two little ones ambled by. Easy 20 yard shot. 30 yard easy blood trail to right where I last saw her.

No sightings in the evening sit. Winds don't look cooperative tomorrow. We'll see.

Congratulations

Well seen a fork on the ground this morning from well under 10 yards. I was in no way ready. I was able to get an arrow nocked. He was moving to my right, I took a step or Two slowly to get more behind a tree and draw, I was going go for it bare finger but he ended up trotting away. Nice spot here by the lake

I didn't see anything tonight. I let people dictate how I hunted today, big mistake and lesson learned. Dropped out a little early and went to my first choice, 6 point standing there with 15 minutes of light left...:( I've got a brand new plan for tomorrow!! It's unconventional and I'm going for it lol

Anyone out or going out? I'm awful sore today but I have a spot with easy access and close parking. Wind is opposite today as it has been but I think the wind advantage there is minimal.

Sitting in my backyard blind tonight so no points for the contest if I score. Good luck out there! I wish I had the opportunity to get out in the real woods as much as you seem to be able to. I'm out this weekend due to a parent's weekend at kid's university. Gonna be a theme for me this year with 3 other visits/trips.
