Team 2 BB - Bambi Blasters

I need to put some time in with the kids and honeydo list for a bit, hoping to get back in the woods next weekend and will continue my if it's brown it's down mentality.
 
Honestly not gonna waist to much time until Halloween. The bucks are around at the farm. But they don't really start getting around until end of October. To much corn and swamps near by.
 
Been too rainy here lately but I'm planning on going out tomorrow evening
 
Well guys, they showed up a little late to the party but they did show. They came in where I guessed they would, far end of the clearing 5 minutes after light. After 10 minutes or so I had 2 in range, mom and kiddo I think. The mom was a nice one, came into 25 right away and pretty quickly to 10. She gave me the sideways head Bob from 10yds or less but went back to browsing. Offered a variety of shots....

Saw young does yesterday and one tail today, couldn't make out what it was. Still a lot of understory here. Also found some new ladder stands were put up near my spots so that didn't help.

Probably get out Saturday evening next
 
I've been transitioning from talking about "needing to get some more me time in the woods" to " do you want to go out with your friends one night this weekend so I can go hunting a different one, obligation free" so if I don't get out this weekend I have time locked in for next one lol.
 
Me too. Bumped a nice buck on the way in... not feeling the best about the next half hour but fingers crossed
 
Well no luck tonight. I did however see how I want to setup in the spot I really want to hunt but have been stumped on pulling it off. Hopefully I can capitalize next time the wind is in my favor!

Not sure I'll get out in the morning but definitely afternoon evening.

Out in the woods today after all. Been walking around scouting the last few hours, found some good trails and scattered deer sign but haven't bumped any yet. Most of the area I'm scouting doesn't seem to have service so I'll check in tonight
 
@onestringer , updates? Low 50s and windy here. Trying to decide where to go now. I'll be headed out in an hour or so
