Team 4

Our weather just went from the 80's to the 40's so maybe something will happen soon.

I got a bull a few days ago. Finally have him butchered up and in the freezer. Beautiful 6 point. Not a giant, but he'll do. Didn't get pics of him in the field but I'll get the Euro done today or tomorrow and get pics up of that. Hell of a CO season, probably my best ever. My first Pronghorn buck, second biggest mulie and second biggest elk. Lets hope I can keep this going as I head east to IN and then south to AL to hang in a tree for some whiteys.

Well, I'm finally pulling a little of my own weight around here. I got this fella this morning under a hot feed tree. It was in an area that has been getting some unusual pressure lately, and if I thought he would not have gotten killed by the next guy, I might have been tempted to let him pass. But, as it stands, he isn't getting any bigger.

He is either a 7 or 8 pointer, based on that little point on his left mainbeam. So that is either 12 or 13 points. Hopefully the mods count it as a point, lol.

I almost got a doe Halloween evening but I had 5 does within 14 yards, one at the base of the tree, and they had me pinned down.

I'll be back at it soon.

Solid work! Another few deer like that and we can really be moving up the board. If you think its close or right at an inch take a pic with a tape measure. Its looks real close.
No dice. I was not sure what the criteria was, one inch or hang a ring off of it. It doesn't meet the one inch if that is the rule.

An inch is the criteria for the record books. I guess I just assumed that was the deal here too. If the entry after yours gets the point for his brow it looks like yours should. Im not sure how big of a stickler Boyne/Squirrel are. Either way, we wont need the point when we all start tagging out!

Well guys, I've been getting out alot but no luck. This season has been rough for me. Hopefully things change quick. I've got this Thursday and Friday off - fingers crossed. Trying to get a shot at one before the orange army descends upon the woods.

Well guys, I need your thoughts.

I went into a spot blind this morning. Had a wind out of the NW. Setup along a hill with a ridge above me and to my west. The ridge with some thick stuff on top.

Around 7:30 a 120 inch or so 8 pt came out of the thick stuff to my west and walked within ten yards. Just a few more steps and he would be perfectly broadside. He got my wind, stopped and turned around. He walked off about 20 yards and I grunted at him with my grunt tube. He stopped and then got spooked and bounded off but didn't blow.

I've got the same wind tonight but it won't be blowing as hard. I'm thinking about setting up in the same general area, maybe within 50-100 yards. I'm hoping he's bedding on this ridge.

This is the first buck I've seen this year that isn't a spike, fork, or 6 point.

You should be in a better position wind wise since thermals should drop later evening. I'd be back in there after him. It sounds like he didn't spook too bad. Good luck!

Got this guy yesterday evening. An all day sit in my Wraptor 2 panel I made last year. He is a 7 seven point that had a smaller 8 point with him. Quartering too shot at 16ish yards, in the right shoulder out a little behind the heart. I think I got both lungs after going through the onside scapula. This was my 44 pound draw Mathews Heli M, 580 grain arrow with about 22% FOC. Grizzly single bevel. He went 40 yards, stopped and tipped over.

Then the hard part. I was a mile back. I am sore today.

No luck tonight but I did find some fresh scrapes and probably the biggest rub I've ever seen.
