Team 6 Thread

Wow great buck @Beeyuu that's a whopper!! Great work! Get a saddle in the pic and get that puppy up on the board.. YYYYEEEEESSSSSS!!!

First day of firearms is Saturday the 20th. Stoked!! I rather bowhunt but now I can try to get my target buck.

@Beeyuu congrads. Very nice buck! Glad to see there are still a few left out there to keep us off the couch.

That should give us at least 80 points if Beeyuu didn't previously have a 2nd doe down. Of course other teams have been improving as well but that would have us in 3rd from the last standings. Keep after it guys, would be fun to win this thing!

Yahoooo!!! I didn'tt see anything I wanted to shoot on our gun opener Saturday and then Sunday. Still trying to get some more points on the board.

Well my permit hunt is over, ended sunday. Friday morning I missed a big 10. Saturday evening I had a really nice 9 point at 52 yards, but not quite close enough. I'll get to gun hunt the farm this week and planning to hit some public after a big deer I was on last year. Great job guys! I'll get us some more points soon. Heres the one I missed ‍♂️IMG_5689.jpg

Oh, man! He's a stud!!!

Got out this morning for our opener. Had one solid 7 point coming from private into the piece of public I was hunting. He was wide but short tines. I wasn’t sure if I woulda shot him or not but he made up my mind for me when he gave me 0 shots as soon as he ventured into public. I’ll be back at it on Friday

Was out every day over last 9 days. Saw deer a few times, including does within 20 yds, but couldn't make it happen...
A month left, back out Weds AM

I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train

Our muzzleloader season starts this Saturday. Still in mourning over loosing a buck that I hit. Hoping for some redemption during this season. Good luck to all who are still at it.

Last Wednesday pm I had two small bucks in front of me at last light but was hoping to see something bigger so I let them pass. Weather has come into our area and that has made things somewhat move their patterns to some extent so my sightings have been down. I've seen more bucks this year than does although I did have a doe come buy me on an afternoon hunt but she just looked so small. I wasn't in a saddle that afternoon though I was in a Pac-Seat.

Then, Friday or Saturday morning the wind was really coming in hard and heavy so I went down on the leeward side of a ridge and at first light a nice red fox crossed in front of me on the bench below the one I was on. A few minutes after that fox went through the clucks, putts and gobbles started all around me as I was blessed to be "waking up with the Turkeys." Another 10 minutes or so after flydown, another red fox came by.... smaller and blonder and ended up heading along the same bench the first one was on. At 10:30 I was freezing and the wind was consistent with snow squalls.... good time to still hunt.... I start slowly walking into the wind along the lower bench..... shwish.... shwish then a tail flicker... two deer go bounding off. I go inspect the beds..... they must have been there all morning the leaves were dry and there was snowfall all morning. I didn't see horns but one bed was huge and the other was large... like a doe locked up by a buck... ugh. It was a good morning though.

I've been in NY for work all weekend so I haven't had the chance to hunt. Finally headed back to AR, hopefully I can get some woods time soon.
