Hey all, looking forward to the season ahead and repping team 6!

I live and hunt mostly in PA but make a yearly rut trip to OH where I’ll hope to get us some points.

I may even get short trip in to Missouri if I’m lucky this year….that would be a first for me.

Where at in PA? I am about an hour north of pittsburgh.
 
Good Morning Team! Fortunately my work travel is winding down and I should get more time to hunt this year. It’s been overwhelming, I’ve made 16 road trips this year with 8 of them to France. Only 2 trips left.
Mostly hunting Arkansas public land this year!

Season opens Saturday here. Lucked into an 80 acre urban spot here right before we left for CO. Got back yesterday and ran out to check the cam I hung before we left and had a pile of does and little ones on there and 3 dink bucks. Not sure if I will hunt this weekend or not due to temps. It was 100 here yesterday and supposed to be 95 saturday.
 
Same here, 90 today. Out scouting last week, no acorns this year in this part of KY.
This should force the deer to look for other food sources.
Going out Friday to scout Green River WMA.
 
I’m gonna try to hunt Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we have tons of acorns here and got a cold front pushing through late this week, supposed to be 47 Saturday morning. Hopefully that will get some movement.
 
One and a half weeks left here before the opener. Friday is supposed to be a high of 51. I have the itch bad this year,possibly the worst ever. I only have until the 11th of October,then I will be in Germany for three weeks. Getting back on the 1st of november,right when things should be on fire in this area. I hope to get a doe in the freezer before I leave and then a buck before gun season opens in the 2nd half of november.
 
Opener was this weekend. Hunted private and all the cams we had out blew up Friday evening. Actually picked up 3 new shooter bucks. None great scoring but all mature and one is the biggest bodied deer we have ever seen or gotten a pic of on the place. I saw a grand total of 0 Saturday evening and 0 again Sunday morning. Buddy saw 2 does from the stand. Temp jumped back up 10-15 degrees over Friday. In over 40 years I have killed opening weekend I think just twice. Not sure why I bother to get in a tree opening weekend, should prolly just go skwerl hunt or scout or something. LOL
