Hilarious. Apparently I glossed over it the first time, but saying you're close to OH and IN made me go back and look at your home location again. Just had my family up next to your house three weeks ago at the Ark Encounter!

yes sir they were real close. Look me up if you come back. We’ll jump in a tree.

I’ll get back at it soon boys and try to some points for a doe kill, but 1st I’m trying to get my youngest daughter her biggest buck kill.

I’ve got my sights set on this buck. There are a few bigger ones running around, but I have an idea of where he’s living. New property (wife inherited - yes I’m fortunate) and this was the first velvet buck I got on camera back in May. He’s the only chocolate colored one I’ve seen out there. I think he’s 4.5.

I was out again this weekend. Every thing was over 100 yards way. Back out on Wed. and then a Sunday evening hunt will round out this week.

You got time, and this falls into the category of things that are simply way more important in life

Nice!

So it looks like my first hunt of the year will be Friday. I’ll either get an invite to my buddies place in Zone 5 of Bama that opens early or I’ll head north to TN for a hunt. I got my bow a final tune up today (added some twist to the string to get rid of some peep creep and retired in the peep sight serving that had come loose) The anticipation is high!

Fawn down.(30 yards) snorted at me 3 times and let me dig out my rangefinder, range it, move my pin and draw back. Basically needed to die. Its fun just throw it in your pack and haul it out. First time shooting a fawn in 18 years of hunting.

Congratulations

Sweet meat right there. The little ones don't quite have as much flavor but sure are tender. Easier to handle too for sure.
