Team Johnny 5 is alive!

Well managed to get another doe for the freezer tonight. Doesn't help out the team though. Im starting to get that deep down bad feeling that our rut is pretty much done. Im always holding out, but I just havn't seen any big deer out and about on my public land any more. No trail cam pics this past week either. :disrelieved: Hope yall are still in em.

Round here the bucks are focused on eating and putting some fat on this week.

I'll hunt this whole weekend, I ain't picky. Looking to throw a couple more in the freezer. Congrats @philsanchez76 sounds like you had a solid season so far.
Thx sir. I've definitely had a great season in terms of quantity. My freezer is very full. Got to help my neighbor get his first of the year and helped him process it. Got to give some away. God has blessed me even though I don't deserve it. But im still asking him for just one opportunity at a big one.

I do. Unfortunately, it’s a piece of private land that only I have permission to hunt and yet the orange army has been pounding it this week.
I know how you feel. It took me several days just to get that last doe after the thanksgiving week army plows through my local public. The does recover quick and get back on a pattern. But the bucks either go nocturnal or just move completely. ITs frustrating.

For sure. Fortunately I’ve done lots of homework and have plenty of alternatives cued up.
