I've used my jx3 a few times this year and so far I love it. I do have a few questions that might make it more comfortable/easy though.
1. I see a lot of you using the Eastern Outdoors felt pouches for ropes and stuff. Would I need to purchase the molle attachment pouch or the loops?
2. I feel like I'm tethering too high. At eye level I had difficulty swinging around the tree, so I went up as high as I could to tether from my top step. I can move around better, but I'm wondering if this height is adding extra work to my legs maybe? I'm 6'7".
3. Any pointers on "next best choice" when perfectly straight trees with few low limbs are available? You guys might can save me a lot of wasted trips up and down!
4. Is SRT or 1 sticking a big enough advantage over using 4 Helium mini's that I should do that for next season, or should I spend more time getting comfortable with the system that I have now? I hunt primarily private property, so I would leave some paracord in ideal trees if I went SRT. It's basically impossible for me to walk more than 1000 yards or so to get to any location on our property, so weight isn't that big of a factor for 95% of my hunting. The main benefit I see for these options is really just the ability to quickly and quietly rappel down in the dark.
5. I know I want an ascender for my lineman's belt adjustments because that prussic is for the birds. Any advice for which to get? Currently have a Rollnlock, Kong Duck, and Ropeman 2 on my wishlist but if there are distinct advantages I should narrow that down.
This is my first post, but I've been lurking for quite a while. This is an amazing forum with an amazing group of helpful people.
