Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

Here at saddlehunter.com we are such a small part of the hunting world that i have to take it with a grain of salt when i see these things....tens of thousands of these sticks have been sold throughout the hunting world so the handful of complaints here are such a small percentage that i dont get to wrapped up in it...there isn't a company in the hunting world that hasn't had one or more failures. ....remember bowtech and limb issues...again such a small percentage but this social media wants to be the make it or break it of all .....im betting there are a lot of sticks out there with "movement " youd be surprised....anyway no issues with my ones yet and from whatbive seen tethrd isn't leaving anyone hanging

That break looks suspect to me. The standoff is bent and if you look close there are a lot of stress fractures. That step saw a lot more force than 215 lbs. Hell I am 250 and jumped up and down on mine to test them.

I am hoping for a one stick XL. Am I the only one? About 1” wider, 1” more depth on the step/standoff and on a 1-1/4” tube… something for guys with size 13/14 boots
I was honestly concerned about the stick size as well (size 13 boot) but I’ve had no issues. Climbed varying sizes of trees and worn 3 different boots from my lightest all the way to my heaviest Bogs. Not saying it’s not a good idea, I don’t think I’d change though.

I’m hoping they figure out how to make steps that don’t wobble and squeak…. That would be a solid start before trying to make another product.

They figured out the wobble. What they didn’t figure out is China QC.

Selling a brand new set of 4 was tempting but I was/am enjoying them too much to give them up yet.

If I have any more issues I’m getting them replaced again and selling the lot.

I have to respectfully disagree… I had 3 sticks that started out fine and 2 started to wobble and make noise on the tree. That was after about a dozen and a half climbs. When they replaced the two, they sent me sticks that already had wobble. How did tethrd miss that? Tags and all on them as if they “checked” them, but they were still sent to me. The weight of those sticks is insane in comparison to others, but I’ll gladly carry 2x the weight for a stick that is solid, quiet, and bites the tree way better than they did.

That’s the China QC part I mentioned….lol

So you actually think they have that dialed in and I just got 4 different “flukes”? And why didn’t tethrd check them? Not being a jerk… but I don’t think they’ve fixed the problem with the sticks just yet. I personally don’t think it’s just a China quality control thing.

I’m with you. And I personally would not care if the weight of the stick increases.

Any piece of metal can break. Beast, lwcg, tethrd or EWO. All great sticks but it’s possible one breaks. 1000’s of other people use them but one breaks and the internet flips their lid. I mean if it was a hawk I would understand they’re trash.

Ya but it's mentally soothing to crap on tethrd

Not all pieces of metal are created equally it seems.

Tethrd is just Hawk with better PR.

I'm not a big fan of Tethrd's saddles I just can't get comfortable in them but that's just me . But I really like their platform and Skeletor and one sticks. They make good accessories and if I ever called them they were awesome.
