Tethrd Skeletor Sticks

The One is no longer in production. Skeletons are. There is also ample used supply atm. If you time it right OR if China imports grind to a halt you’ll probably make a modest profit at resale. Also as season approaches demand will increase. There are other variable, but if those come into play stick sales will be the least of your worries.

One sticks are in production just out of stock.

I bought them because I deemed them a good investment. The One stick, despite it's flaws, enjoys resale value at or above the retail price. I cannot imagine these sticks depreciating in value below what I paid, as long as parts are available and raw material prices remain volatile. Gear should be a business decision not an emotional decision.
I try to convince my wife that every time I buy a new platform

Has anyone looked at putting a cam cleat on the skeletor?

For what? The dynalock tab is the best attachment method in the game. Not only that the sticks will no longer stack with a cam cleat.

was thinking more for one stick climbing...
the dynalock tab looks a bit cumbersome relative to cam cleat for one sticking

Resurrecting thread, to see if anyone is having additional problems with these sticks.

no issues with mine either. I replaced the amsteel on mine, built a one step aider for 3 of them and one 3 step aider for the 4th one. I have around 60 one sticking reps with it already and really enjoy the design of the whole stickC48DA131-96AD-426E-BD90-EF84D84AB193.jpeg2E628606-E1DA-408F-B613-721E36A3024E.jpeg

Anyone adjusted the step spacing? i like everything except the distance between steps. Thinking about dropping the top step a hole or two and raising the bottom step. This assumes all the holes are the same size. Not sure how that would affect stability but will make it much more enjoyable to climb in late season.

emailed Tethrd to see what they have to say.

I'll say this about stability:

The distance ratio of the top and bottom steps relative to the button should remain the same.

I have the Skeletors but I don't have confidence in Tethrd giving you a straight answer for legal liability reasons.

I myself don't have any expertise in these matters, as they are simply opinions and shouldn't be relied upon for health and safety reasons on your part, to the person reading this....

i got the ”we don’t recommend it” response with a “that’s not saying it can’t be done”. kinda what i expected

I’ll do some stretching and practicing to see if I can improve my ability. Might test it on one to see how it works.

I bought a set of Skeletors in January. Never did the first thing with them until a couple weeks ago to start prepping for bow season.

I got the replacement bolts in the mail in the springtime. Finally dug those out to install…. Geez. One of those suckers, absolutely would not seat in the dynaloc button. I tightened it as far as it would go and it was still loose. Maybe if I stacked lock washers it would have worked lol.

Emailed Tethrd, they replied almost immediately and sent me new bolts and new dynaloc buttons.

I got them…. And of the 4 dynaloc buttons they sent me, 2 of them looked identical to the ones on my sticks, logo on the front, threaded hole in the back. 2 of them, had the word skeletor on the front and a hole going all the way through but no threads at all.

I emailed them again with a picture… no response after a couple days. Whatever, I took a new longer bolt, and a new button with threads, and cranked that sucker down tight. Climbed a tree in the yard, I really like so far. Little apprehensive about my standoffs, but I’ll keep an eye on it. And who knows what’s up with these different dynaloc buttons.

Yeah there a great set, it's just concerning how they seemingly keep having these quality issues and oversights with their "metal" equipment. I might have to get rid of my carabineers come to think of it...

I emailed Tethrd and they said they were going to send me 8 new standoffs for my skeletors since I had the gen1's. When I opened the box this morning there were six even though the packing slip says 8, so I guess "Anna" who stamped her name to the packing slip has issues counting too....lol! I've decided the the stick that doesn't get the upgraded standoff's will always be my base/first stick at ground level and will have some sort of obvious marking on it to remind me....... They also send new bolts for the dynaloc button but it appears the longer ones had already made it to my sticks, just not the new standoffs.....
