I just had a conversation with their customer service and I’m not so worried about the one year warranty on the sticks. The implication was they would take care to the original purchaser on a case by case basis. With all of the positive reviews I have found on their customer service I’m no longer worried. Also, they had no problem with me beveling the stand off myself. If history is any predictor of the future the will replace them if they break. That 1 year warranty thing kinda rubs me a little wrong though.
I think the new standoff is beveled and thicker. The bevel may not solve the issue alone.I just had a conversation with their customer service and I’m not so worried about the one year warranty on the sticks. I'm gonna put a bevel on my standoffs, and use them. If they bend, they bend and I call Tethrd. If they don't, then I'm good to go.

Let’s see them!Yep, I just got done beveling my sticks, will see how it goes.
I‘ll try.Let’s see them!
Tapatalk will size it automatically or I believe some people say screen shot it and post that. Just curious how they turned out.I can load the pics, it says the file is too large.
I found your post over there. So you put a flat edge on them? I was thinking put the angle but keep a sharp edge. Not sure which would work best. Hey @enkriss got a close up of the new one? They turned out great, I was able to post picks on AT. One guy on AT did it with a belt sander but I used a file.
I put the sticks on the same tree I used before the bevel and after the bevel it didn’t dig in in a way to bend the stand offs, I’m very happy with them.

I disagree, the company representative has the right to modify the warranty when both parties are in agreement. This is what is called an authorized repair or modification, an often occurrence between manufactures and end users. Here is what the 1 year warranty says:
"This warranty is void if any product has been subjected to misuse, abuse and neglect including but not limited to: improper maintenance, failure to follow instructions, improper storage, improper use, misapplication, accident, normal wear, modification, adjustment or unauthorized repair."
...emphasis mine.
So legally, it doesn't really matter what customer service told you, if you modify your sticks by beveling the standoffs, according to the warranty terms you have voided your warranty. Now Tethrd could still replace them if they chose to, but legally, you have no right to expect that and they don't have to honour the warranty.
I still find this unacceptable and will be writing them to that effect. This is a design defect, loud and clear....and if the standoffs fail and cause injury, damage to property or me to miss any hunting days, then I believe we will be within our rights to hold them liable for such, since consumer law does not allow a manufacturer to duck liability when it's a known design flaw, which they are very aware of given the contact from customers and some of the bent standoff youtube videos have proved.
They should do the right thing and send replacements to those that bought their product with the defective standoffs.

Thanks. I was envisioning something like the beast stick bevel where it was angled but still sharp.
