"The official saddle hunting backpack thread"

The new Sitka Toolbucket is still a great pack. The only real difference is it does not have a belt but it does carry great. Personally, not having that belt is great in the tree. I carried mine yesterday with 4 beast sticks and a Mission platform and it was no problem.

Mystery ranch pop up 38.

Okay guys, getting my saddle gear set up and have decided between two packs, both Sitka packs. Anyone have either the Toolbox or the Fanatic pack? Kinda leaning towards the toolbox. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys

I don’t think the toolbox is in their current lineup. I have the tool bucket which I like a lot. 01879B91-9223-4828-AB59-735628B0D033.jpeg01879B91-9223-4828-AB59-735628B0D033.jpeg

Just got an Eberlestock X2 ad that Tool box didn't work out, and I gotta say this works perfect with sticks and y new to me Regular sized Predator. Still figuring out how everything packs but I am getting there. Another hunt in the am...

I scrolled thru about 250 posts and couldn't believe no ones using a Hill People Gear Umlindi! Hill People packs are a USA company with every right to be in the top 5. My personal top five in no order are Kifaru, Hill People gear, Stone Glacier, Mystery Ranch, and Kuiu.

Ive never seen this pack company. They look great! Thanks

Have their recon chest bag. Works great for pistol, mag, phone, wallet, small items you don't want to lose in the woods and keep close at hand.

Just ordered an X2, I’ll let you know what I think when it gets here. I currently use a Tenzing 1200, it’s a good pack, just not quite enough.

Ive got the cargo box from Sitka. It’s quite a bit bigger than the tool box but I love it!

I have before. Just found it’s too much for what I carry. Their shoulder harnesses are my favorite. The compression system on the Umlindi is top notch as well. Currently carry a Tara.

How do you like the tarahumara? Seems more practical for the whitetail woods i hunt. Thanks
