"The official saddle hunting backpack thread"

Venture 2300 guys - I ordered a medium based on belt size but the torso seems short. I’m 5’11” on a good day.

Is the torso length longer in the large model?

No idea. I'm at the very top end of the height range for medium but ordered a large because med was out of stock. I can't compare the two but large worked well for me. I'm 5'10" and about 185lbs.

@boxerboxer when I loaded it up today it the belt was a solid 2-3 inches above my hips
Loosen the shoulder straps all the way, put the belt on your hips and tighten, and then tighten the shoulder straps til there's pressure on the front of your shoulders but before it gets tight on top. If that works, great. If not you might need the bigger size. From the website I don't think the size has to do with belt size at all, just torso length.

I’m 6’2 and mine is a large. It hits me perfect. I’ve never tried a medium but i would say it is based on that

Just ordered a large while they’re still on sale.. so there may be a medium vias in the classifieds soon if anyone needs/wants one haha

I had the same question today and found your question with no answers
Someone posted either in this thread or the 2024 gear thread that they bought one. Figured they would have answered by now. Oh well. Season is about over for me anyway so I’ll just wait and see what next year brings for gear

Really wanted to grab the Venture 2300 for late season but they're not on the website anymore. I called customer service and they aren't being restocked.

So that leaves me with the MR Treehouse 38 or the Eberlestock X2. Usually bringing in some camera gear, 4 novix double steps, a Trophyline Onyx, then late season will pack in a couple layers plus my fanatic jacket. Sometimes wear my bibs unzipped othertimes pack it. Would either of those 2 packs be better than the other? Or are they pretty interchangeable... just personal preference?

What size did you need in the 2300? I have an unused 2300 in Stone, size medium that I couldnt return because I didnt have the tags. When I went to order the L it was out of stock. Shipping cost could be a problem though.

Got my Kuiu Encounter Divide 2800 in yesterday. I think this thing will be great with the tree strap and the removable organizer. lots of room. I'm excited to try it out this weekend. I bought it full price but got an inner circle Computer backpack for free. It is a nice everyday carry pack/carry-on pack

How is the new material?

Please tell us everything!

It is on the heavier side at over 5 pounds. But its because of the extra material, zipper for the divide portion and internal organizer. I think I'm really going to like the organizer and the tree strap. Only thing I added was some clips to the strap to hang my bow.

Is there any structure that also contributes to the weight?
