How did you end up doing the "comfort channels"? fold the main webbing down to 1" and slide tubular webbing over it, then get the bearings to slide in and sew everything in place? Looking at giving this design a whirl. TIA

Yes sir. Folded the 2 inch webbing into 3rds and slide the balls in on top of the folded 2 inch webbing and inside the tubular webbing. Sorry for the late response. Just saw this.
 
Had to give it a go. Turned out ok. Little messy on the nodes in the bridge loops. Still waiting on hardware.
This thing is comfy though. Once again, the Tethrd folks have outdone themselves with an excellent design. I know I didn't do it justice here, but attempts at mimicking still count towards being the greatest form of flattery!

Do you edge the mesh w anything or just run webbing along? TIA

The comfort channels are such an awesome idea and the transparency to the saddle community diy guys makes me want to buy a phantom just to support the innovators!
