I finally got to do a little test today and I am kicking myself for not doing this sooner. This one is a touch heavy at maybe 6 or 7 lbs, but I already plan to have one custom made that will be even smaller and lighter. It is still lighter than carrying sticks and a platform by a long shot. It is very easy and stable to climb with a saddle, just like using a two piece climber and is very quiet, if you don't fumble around in a big hurry. I wrapped it with vet tape after the test and will use it on a hunt this week. A simple strap around the tree at height will hold it tight for side pressure and the downward angle is more comfortable in the saddle. Just like an Anderson sling, sometimes the oldies are still goodies! @Mgaris here is another opportunity for your creativity!
