Hey guys I’m new here just trying to learn everything I can about saddle huntin until I have the money to actually buy one. Until then I was looking at saddles and it seems it’s pretty much just the leg portion of a safety harness with material under butt. I have a muddy tether and linesman that came with my harness could I just use my safety harness and hook into it and use it as a saddle until I can actually buy one. Or is there something I’m not seeing or thinking of that wouldn’t allow this to work?
 
Sure you could try anything. Not sure how comfortable it would be. I would strongly suggest a sitdrag for fleece DIY saddle and your ready to rock! For like $6 and some rope the fleece would be my bet
