Cleaner look and packs better that way.

The Chinese ropes that come with the one sticks are junk. A switch to real Amsteel is a huge upgrade. There’s nothing wrong with the factory stacking pins, the G3D stacking clips are just personal preference.

Yes, the ropes that came with the tethrd one sticks were absolutely junk. I went with the RDA ropes (awesome upgrade) and the G3D SSS clips and they made
these Cadillac sticks into Lamborghinis. It I will say, I didn’t need individual aiders on each stick, I used and still will use a three step continuous loop aider from EWO on the bottom which gets you 6-7 feet plus with your first stick. Routinely climbed with four sticks and the three step from 18-20ft.

This is true… the total weight of the stick sells me on it more than having built in aiders. I may see how a 3 step aider hangs off the bottom step and not even use the built in ones.

Try rhe three step EWO continuous loop aider. Pulls on the step like the One sticks and gets you up enough overall where you don’t need to use the individual aiders up higher.

You said you use a 3 step. What is the step distance?

I can be pretty unobservant sometimes and I guess I missed that these ends have caps that come off. The dumb part of me is tempted to pull the aider out of the stick. Lol

To remove it?

I guess. Still pondering it. I find that the more I try sticks the more I don’t like aiders on the sticks past the first one. I would just need to figure out what to do with the built in ones because I would not like leaving them in the stored position on the stick and not using them and working around the rope. I could wrap it up somewhere else I suppose.

If it was me and I didn't plan on using the aider. Would just pull them tight then do a wrap around the bottom step on each side to hold aider tight to step then wrap the rest around main tube and tie it off.

Ordered mine on 7/2 and received on 7/8. Fit and finish is great. I climb with them using aiders on each. While i generally don’t like using aiders past first two steps I felt comfortable with design. They stack nice and are much nicer to bring all up a tree than my x2’s. No creaking or anything and I do weigh 270. Whole stack weighed 62.6 ounces. I did add about once and a half to the stack by unnecessarily Stealth stripping the tubes purely for looks.

That looks good, man, and clean. I wondered if the tubing was 1" so the Rope Tamer would work. How was the fitment of the clip onto the tubing? Does it feel pretty secure?

It’s like it was made for it. I used the Genesis 3D rope tamer for the Tethrd One Sticks. Clipped right on. Very tight and secure. No problem.

Perfect! I'm glad to hear they work for these sticks, too. I designed them because I hated shoving them into my pockets or wrapping them around the steps/standoffs.

So I'm not interested in these but I'm curious, that step looks super slippery especially with snowy boots. Is there something I'm missing that I'm wrong?
