Hey guys I just got my ultimate one stick in the mail today and of course had to go try it out, I pulled up on the wire handle and it apparently overextended and now it won't recede back into the stick any help is appreciated!

I understand it doesn't auto retract sorry bad communication skills, I meant that it wouldn't push back down

If you're going to all that trouble, listen to @enkriss and replace it with a Gear Tie.
Still have to remove the cam cleat, or I suppose you could cut the wire and try to pull it through. Mine has never hung up, but I do use gear tie on my Ion... works the same.

It was assembled wrong. Easy fix. The cam cleat bolts need to go through the wire loop. The srink tubing on the end of your wire loop is stuck between the cam bolts and the stick tubing. You will need to remove the cam cleat bolts and reassemble with the bolts going through the loop. It's a PITA. Don't loose any of the cam bearings. Lol

Alrighty thanks guys, that's the answer I had came to as well it looks like it's gonna be a fun little project. Yall have good luck this season! Thanks again
Be careful with the cam bearings. Trust me on this one. When you tap out the bolts the top of the cam cleat will lift off and the bearings will fall out.

Just posting incase someone else Is looking: My wire loop only went around my top cam cleat bolt and the bottom of the wire loop was hitting the bottom cam cleat bolt not letting it retract. I just took off the bottom cam cleat nut threaded out the bolt moved the wire down and treaded the bolt back in put nut back on. I didnt have to take apart the cam cleat in anyway.

Mine got stuck now and it will not push back down. I'm going to try this thanks for the update on this @Jeremy_D

I did something a little different. I ordered a 24" feather stick and made it a 15" one stick. The extra 9" is my handle. I find I have more control over the stick and it's easier for me to grab and lift.

Can you snap a pic of this setup when you get a minute? Thanks!

The reason I did this is because I'm old and fat. I had a hard time bending over and grabbing the wire handle and then when I got it the stick and released the rope the stick would swing around below me. I find it easier to grab and control with the solid handle.

Cool. So what's your platform, a flat OOAL Scout?
