Umm ... Aerohunter Retires Kestrel and Kite

I am disappointed in them phasing out the color choices. I went on the website to order and saw that they discontinued the ASAT color that I had planned to get in a flex. I also kind of wanted a rope bridge instead of the webbed, as I’ve heard the rope slides through the carabiner easier than the webbing.

So no warning at all.. no announcements? I hear all about their customer service being so great that I would think dropping 2/3 of your products would be news worthy to folks. At least a message on the site explaining it a little rather than poof they are gone! Will be interesting to see what they come up with though.

At the very least for guys like me who where thinking, I’ll order one when I save a little more. Now the one I could have hurried and got is no longer a choice.

You could try to email them and request it. I haven't interacted with Aerohunter myself but others on here have suggested they are great at listening to requests. I can't imagine they threw out all the ASAT and Predator fabric they had in stock. Explain that you were about to order an ASAT flex and see what they say.

I have already emailed about leftover inventory on the Kite specifically and Debbie said that they do not have anything left. I imagine they have been working down inventory levels all summer.

I don’t know that they ever had inventory, every thing was made to order & they sew like crazy to keep up. Most of the other mfr’s have 1-2 sku’s & manufacture batches then have stock depending on volume. With the different models, sizes, fabric & bridge options that’s a lot. Can’t say I blame them, would be nice to have a custom shop option, with a giant lead time disclaimer & offer some past options at a premium (maybe leave the Camo options as is so your not stocking a ton of fabric for items not even in the catalog)

Unfortunately I don’t think businesses can cater to the indecisive or even potential customers relative to discontinuing a product line.

Just be like other saddle hunters. Impulsive, fiscally irresponsible, and rationalize it by telling yourself that resale value holds with saddle gear.

But...but...
Why you gotta go making sense!?

I wonder if they’ll sell off their ASAT material
